Gott nytt år, kära medlemmar!  

Och vilken start på det nya året, med massivt snöfall. Just detta skapar så klart vissa problem, men vi får hjälpas åt att hålla snön i schack. Styrelsen jobbar på med snöröjningsbolag och Solna kommun för dom stora mängderna, men även med verktyg för dom mindre.  

Snö och kyla 

Vi har ställt ut dom spadar vi har i port 31, 25 och 19. Dessa får ni gärna använda för att hålla rent framför dörrarna, då is snabbt byggs upp om snön får ligga kvar. Vi har redan behövt frigöra två portar, där snö och is hade blockat så pass att dörrarna inte kunde stängas helt. Detta vill vi så klart undvika.  

Märker ni att dörren inte går igen, men ni själva inte har möjlighet att få loss den, kontakta då styrelsen. Detsamma gäller med låsen till sopkärlen. Vi har haft problem med att de fastnar i kylan, så hojta till om ni märker att de slutar fungera. 

Trygghet i mörkret 

Förutom att hålla koll på att portarna stängs finns det också trygghetsinsatser ni kan ta till för er personliga säkerhet: 

• Var noga att släcka stearinljus innan de lämnas obevakade 

• Dra ut eldriven belysning när ni lämnar lägenheten 

• Kontrollera er befintliga brandsläckare eller investera i ny brandsläckarutrustning. 

  • Vänd och skaka regelbundet på pulverbrandsläckare, så att pulvret fördelas 

  • Kontrollera att tryckmätarens nål står på grönt 

  • Att den inte är äldre än 10 år 

  • Att den finns lättillgängligt och synligt placerad 

  • Att alla i familjen vet hur den används (finns bra med informativa videos online)

Happy New Year, dear members! 

And what a start to the new year, with heavy snowfall. This naturally creates certain challenges, but we all need to work together to keep the snow under control. The Board is working with snow removal contractors and the Municipality of Solna to manage the large amounts of snow, as well as arranging tools for the smaller tasks. 

Snow and cold 

We have placed the shovels we have available in entrances 31, 25, and 19. Please feel free to use them to keep the areas in front of the doors clear, as ice quickly builds up if snow is left to accumulate. We have already had to clear two entrances where snow and ice had blocked the doors so much that they could not be fully closed. This is something we naturally want to avoid. 

If you notice that a door does not close properly and you are unable to free it yourself, please contact the Board. The same applies to the locks on the waste containers. We have experienced issues with them freezing in the cold, so please let us know if you notice they stop working. 

Safety in the dark 

In addition to ensuring that entrance doors are properly closed, there are also safety measures you can take for your personal security: 

• Always make sure to extinguish candles before leaving them unattended 

• Unplug electrical lighting when leaving your apartment 

• Check your existing fire extinguisher or invest in new fire-fighting equipment 

  • Regularly turn and shake powder fire extinguishers so that the powder is evenly distributed 

  • Make sure the pressure gauge needle is in the green zone 

  • Ensure the extinguisher is no more than 10 years old 

  • Keep it easily accessible and clearly visible 

  • Make sure everyone in the household knows how to use it (there are many good instructional videos online)
